Pictures & video of Emeril Mountain Site where VO2KG is located some 70Km East of Labrador City on Trans Labrador Hi-way route 500. The picture & video were taken on July 14, 2020 prior to the removal of the commercial tower and buildings surrounding VO2KG shack.
Shortly after the above image was taken, and before we could get in the grounding radials in place (Note the big Lightning Rod is now missing :-), a suspected lightning strike killed the RLC-4 Analog controller, bringing down the Voice portion of VO2KG repeater. The APRS digipeater was not affected and remains operational (as of April 2022), but Voice will remain off the air until the upgrade of the entire repeater network to Allstar controllers in the summer of 2022.
